September 2023 Jean Day Donation was for the City of Oglesby's Shop with a Cop. This program provides presents and food cards for families in need in the City.
Shop with a Cop is a program where Oglesby PD shops for and delivers gifts to children in our community. The department works directly with the schools to determine eligibility as well as any individual requests. Children submit their Christmas lists and items are purchased from those lists. This is a great way for officers to build rapport with the youth while making the season brighter.
