from Sue Grady of Connecting Point Computer Center.March 2025 Jean Day Donation Recipient Pet Project, Inc.As the early days of spring approach, the spirit of generosity continues to bloom across the Illinois Valley. In March, Connecting Point Computer Center (CPCC) is proud to support the local community once again through its monthly Jean Day Donation Drive, this time benefiting Pet Project, Inc. This heartwarming initiative allows CPCC employees to contribute to a cause that is close to many hearts: helping to ensure the well-being of pets in need.
Supporting Pet Project, Inc.
Pet Project, Inc., based in Marseilles, Illinois, is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pets, particularly those that face euthanasia in local shelters. With a mission to provide medical care, food, and shelter for abandoned and neglected animals, Pet Project plays a critical role in the community by offering a second chance to pets who would otherwise have nowhere to turn.
The organization works tirelessly to care for these animals and find them loving, forever homes. Whether through fostering, adoption events, or community outreach programs, Pet Project’s commitment to animal welfare has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of animals and families in the Illinois Valley.
Key Services of Pet Project, Inc.:
- Pet adoption services

- Veterinary care for rescued animals
- Community outreach and education on responsible pet ownership

Connecting Point's Jean Day Tradition
At Connecting Point Computer Center, supporting local causes is a cornerstone of our values. Every month, CPCC hosts the beloved Jean Day event, which allows employees to donate a small monetary amount in exchange for the privilege of wearing jeans to work. It’s a fun and easy way to get involved in making a difference, and the funds raised go toward supporting a wide range of community initiatives.
This March, employees who participate in the Jean Day event will be helping Pet Project, Inc. care for and rehome animals in need. The contributions made by CPCC staff will go directly to support the organization’s mission, helping to fund medical treatments, food, and supplies for rescued pets.
How You Can Help
While CPCC employees can participate in the Jean Day event, anyone can make a difference for Pet Project, Inc.. Here's how you can help:
- Donate Online: Visit Pet Project, Inc.'s website and donate directly to support their rescue efforts.
- Adopt or Foster a Pet: If you're looking to add a furry friend to your family, consider adopting a pet from Pet Project. If adoption isn’t an option, fostering is a great way to provide temporary care for animals in need.
- Volunteer: Pet Project relies on volunteers to assist with events, animal care, and outreach. Your time and effort can make a huge difference!
- Spread the Word: Share the message about Pet Project’s work, encouraging friends and family to contribute in any way they can.
Why This Effort Matters
As the weather warms up, more animals are brought into local shelters, many of which are overburdened and unable to provide the care needed for every animal. By supporting Pet Project, Inc., we can help alleviate some of this pressure and ensure that animals get the care, attention, and loving homes they deserve.
Every donation—whether monetary or in-kind—directly helps these animals. Whether you're contributing funds for veterinary care, helping to stock supplies, or offering your time as a volunteer, your support plays an essential role in ensuring that every pet has the opportunity to live a better life.
